I’m Iana and my favorite adventure buddy is my boyfriend, Dylan. We like to cram in as much backpacking as humanly possible between our normal-people jobs and other fun hobbies. Over the past five years, I’ve gone from never having slept outdoors to feeling perfectly at home on the trail. I’ve learned a lot along the way and want to share my epic successes and even more epic failures with the outdoor community.

Backpacking is my absolute favorite way to explore nature and I think that anyone can be a backpacker. I’m hoping that my collection of backpacking guides, how-tos and journal posts can help fellow adventurers (or aspiring adventurers) plan amazing trips and feel inspired to get outside and sleep on the ground!

Right now, we’re based in Colorado, but we’ve also lived in Texas and California – that’s why most of our adventuring happens in California or Colorado. We’ve also been lucky enough to take some pretty epic road trips across the country, where we got to gather backpacking data all over America.

Oh and I also love to draw, so there’s going to be a lot of doodling around here.
